XOXO Guilted & Guilty
I find myself at the Metropolitan Museum of Art often due to my close proximity on the upper east side and my love of art history. Sometimes only spending a half hour in the Degas rooms, quietly tucked away in the Impressionism wing. I grew up with a mother who appreciated the arts, so we frequented the Art Institute of Chicago throughout my childhood. Now in my adult life, I associate a certain sense of home and nostalgia with art museums and am so grateful that I have friends who feel the same.
I absolutely dell in love with this Aritzia dress on a recent shopping trip in Soho, so I was excited to wear it when a friend suggested that we go see the Manus × Machina: Fashion in an Age of Technology exhibit. Any tailored crisp, white dress is an automatic buy in my book. I paired it with these killer Whistles rose gold sandals and channeled my very best Blair Waldorf on the MET steps.
I included a few of my favorite pieces above! The exhibit was expertly curated in a cylindrical format and divided between multiple floors. The different sections were separated into categories based on the fabric or similar creative conceptions. The exhibit was truly inspiring and a reminder as to why I love the art of fashion so much.
